NIGHT SKY

                                   I look up at the night sky.

                                    So many of them to see,

                                   So many of them to count.

                        That feeling of peace that comes over me.

                                    That I cannot do without.

                              If the moon and stars had eyes,

                                     What would they see?

                                  Would they see the earth,

                                   Would they also see me?

                              If they had a mind of their own,

                        What would they think be thinking of?

  Would they think of earth as a home for hope, happiness, and love?

                                       If they could speak,

                                     What would they say?

               Would they tell me not to let my dreams fade away

                                       And if they had ears,

                                    What wound they hear?

                       Would they listen to my hopes and fears?

                                           But in the end,

                                    They remain my friends.

                                      All so simple and true.

                               They'll always be there for me,

                                But can also be there for you.
